The video below includes an interview with the son of the victim of Joe Stack's attack on the IRS. It's interesting what he says about the assertion the Stack was a hero. Personally, after reading his suicide note, he comes across as a deeply disturbed individual who had difficulty facing his own life mistakes.

What do you think of Facebook's removal of the pro-Stack Web site? Do you see it as heavy-handed, or as a mistake given its value in fishing for possible sharks?

The Fairness Doctrine and Talk Radio

A number of years ago, conservative pundits were nervously wringing their hands over the reimposition of the fairness doctrine. I don't know if they still are but here is an example of Michelle Malkin doing so back in 2007. And here is some conservative wit of lesser renown worrying about what President Obama would do to conservative talk radio with the re-imposition of the fairness doctrine. As you can see, it's primarily the conservatives who are worried about this. While Democrats such as Nancy Pelosi and Former President Bill Clinton have have argued for the reinstatement of the fairness doctrine, President Obama's official position is a little more complex than that. Since it's freedom of speech week, I thought I'd toss in my two cents.
